From enjoying a majority of flowers from Zaba Cannabis, I was looking forward to see how their Blue Cranberry Sauce fared. Arriving in a blue variant of Zaba’s original Red Cranberry Sauce packaging, containing the same genetics with a slight alteration. Upon opening I was instantly hit by the smell of a cherry infused creamy Gelato earthiness, alongside dominant vanilla and peanut overtones with added traits of menthol, pine and berries. The buds were of a medium to hard density, having a hybrid structure.
They were a shade of medium green, with hues of dark blue and purple, alongside short dark rustic pistils, and showered in a coat of trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering a peanut and Gelato infused creamy earthiness, complemented by blueberries and cherries with added menthol, pine and grape overtones. The taste of this nutty and creamy sweet earthiness was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling.
The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I overall found Blue Cranberry Sauce to deliver an enjoyable unique infusion, displaying its lineage effectively. Smelling and tasty very similar to their highly rated Blue Ube as a reference. With minimal dialling in, BCS will remain a great staple to the Zaba line up and market in general.
