With Cali Xotics never disappointing, I was excited to try one of their newest releases, that being Dogs Boll0x. Despite the silly and unrelatable branding, the packaging is innovative, referencing a passport. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by an exotic, tropical sweet infusion. Displaying dominant notes of strawberries, with faint traits of pineapple, blackcurrant and oranges, smelling reminiscent of an orange Calypso. The buds were of a hard density and had a boulder structure. They were a shade of light green, with messy rustic pistils, harbouring a universe of trichomes.
Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell. Delivering sweet tropical notes of primarily strawberries and cherries, alongside a strong creaminess with orange and faint grapefruit overtones. This exotic sweetness was complemented by smooth gentle earthy and floral undertones, leaving the taste of this exotic infusion retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean.
To conclude, I overall found Dogs Boll0x to have a very unique profile, delivering both a balanced tropical and creamy earthy infusion. It smoked pleasantly well, ticking most boxes and with a little further dialling in, can be further improved and establish itself as a strong staple of Cali Xotics lineup.
