With this being a newly rebranded release of Gushers Pie, previously released via Tasty, I was excited to see how it fared. With this being the citrusy orange variant, phenotype #8. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a unique tangy earthiness, displaying exotic notes of lemon, grapefruit, lime and orange alongside a slightly over cured earthiness with hints of blueberries, pine and cream.

The buds were of a mixed density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of slightly aged medium golden green, with thick messy rustic pistils, harbouring a universe of trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell. Delivering a floral and creamy sweet blueberry influenced smooth Gelato earthiness, complemented by enticing exotic and citrusy dominant bursts of orange accompanied by light notes of lemon, lime and grapefruit. The taste of this unique citrusy sweet earthiness was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling.

The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, despite the appearance looking slightly aged, the smell and taste definitely weren’t compromised, with Gusher Pie #8 delivering a tasty and very unique unexpected citrusy profile with the given genetics. It smoked pleasantly well, standing out amongst other common terpene profiles currently in the market. With a little further dialling in, GP8 can be further improved and remain an enjoyable variant of the brands exciting Gusher Pie lineup.
