Again with a majority of the Don Merfos lineup being different LCG crosses and phenotypes, not having had this particular new release before, I was interested in seeing how it fared. With the branding translating from Spanish to Nopals, the name for the pads on a cactus. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a familiar candy aroma, delivering sweet notes of cherries, alongside a citrus and gentle earthy Gelato gas, complemented by refreshing traits of pine and sour chemicals, indicating a potential distant OG lineage.

The buds were of a mixed density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of light green with sporadic hues of of purple, behind a thick layer of almost white trichomes, with messy rustic pistils. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by a gassy candy, exhibiting notes of sweet cherries, alongside an overpowering sour and tart influenced gas, with notes of chemicals and citrusy sour lemons. The taste of this sourly sweet gas was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling.

The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked relatively smooth and clean. To conclude, I overall found Nopalez to deliver a fairly average candy profile with distinctive sour and gassy chemical undertones. Although with further dialling, Nopalez may not be able to stand against some other tastier candy releases on the Don Merfos lineup.
