Traditional OG Kush Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

Aroma: It has a super pungent lemon lime sprite type zest with that delectable chemmy funk. Underneath that there is the unmistakable burnt rubbery Big O tires showroom type of smell with a smattering of diesel. LASTLY there’s the best smelling minty pine tree smell that just hits you. It’s kind of like a pack of newports and a Douglas fir had a baby. It’s mouthwateringly delicious. It’s probably one of my favorite smelling strains of cannabis. I was very impressed with this sample. It was grown in living soil and you can tell. It’s super terpy OG musk. Appearance. This actually has pretty great bag appeal for an OG small to medium sized gold ball to pine tree type flower clusters with bright green and dark olive guard leaves peppered throughout. Rusty red pistils are pretty thin and sparsely populated. The resin is thickly coated but not overtly sappy. There’s those typical OG pods that I attribute to the chem in the genetics. The moisture content on this sample was adequate not too dry at all. The breakdown is nice fluffy and beautiful. When I opened the jar I knew it was pure unadulterated OG kush which is exactly what I look for. Flavor/Smokeability: This one smokes insanely well in all aspects. It hits you with mouth coating candified mentholated pine. There’s this artificial lemon lime that comes through with a chemical skunky funk to it that rounds out the flavor. It’s earthy yet sweet in all the right ways. When you hit this through glass there’s some moderate expansion but the smoke is still really smooth which is not super common for OG. I’m use to being hit with that expando-lung but it never happened. It burns clean and white for whatever that Is worth. Effect: the effect is instant and narcotic. This shit just gets you undeniably stoned in a way that most modern strains just don’t quite accomplish. It hits you in the chest with those graviton waves that just pummel you into a sedentary position. It radiates through the head and down my back just kind of melting some layers of pain and stress away as it fully sets in. I would smoke this weed literally any time of day but it’s probably best for after work if you have a high stress kind of job. It slows down a lot of though processes which is really nice for winding down at night. Overall: This one has been a favorite of mine since I was a wee lad of 16. In my Opinion there’s almost nothing better than a classic OG grown right and this is a prime example. It’s got a killer nose and taste plus it just rocks you in way that I seldom feel these days. It’s living soil grown by folks in LA and they did a great job. Money well spent and would try again.
