As always, I was excited to be able to try this authentic recent release of one of Don Merfos’s most prevalent strains, Paloma. With the branding referencing the popular fruity cocktail. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by an inviting candy aroma, delivering exotic and syrupy sweet notes of cherries and strawberries, alongside a gentle earthy Gelato influenced gas, harbouring pine and citrus overtones. The buds were of a medium to hard density and had a hybrid structure.

They were a shade of light green, appearing almost white due to a thick layer of trichomes, alongside thick messy rustic pistils. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by notes of a sweet cherry and strawberry syrup accompanied by a refreshing piney earthiness, alongside fizzy citrus and very faint grapefruit undertones.

The taste of this exotically sweet candy was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of very light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean.

To conclude, as always I found Paloma to deliver an extremely sweet candy profile, with a flourishing OZK exotic influence. With a little further dialling in, Paloma can only be further improved and will always remain a strong staple of the Don Merfos lineup.
