Strain Review: Spoiled Grape by Zaba Cannabis Co.

Although I am not too overly enthusiastic on grape dominant strains, from constantly receiving nothing but exceptional quality from Zaba Cannabis Co, I did not hesitate to get my hands on this interesting drop of Soured Grape, boasting a high 41.6% total sum of cannabinoids.
Upon opening I instantly received a rush of soured fermented grapes, alongside a floral and gummy earthiness infused with traits of sweet candy, burnt rubber and menthol. Primarily exhibiting its Grand Daddy Purple lineage. The buds were overly unattractive, having a mixed density and foxtail structure. They were a barely visible shade of medium green, camouflaged behind a layer of dark purple looking almost black, with orange pistils and covered in trichomes.
Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering heavy notes of soured grapes infused with light traits of sweet cherries & berries. This unique sour sweetness was complemented by a gassy, chemical earthiness with menthol and cream traits, accompanied by undertones of caramelised onions. The taste of this distinctive sour gas was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling.
The joint produced ash being a shade of dark grey, alongside an instantaneous dripping and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both surprisingly smooth & tasted clean. To conclude, although Spoiled Grape initially arrived in a worse state than recorded, burning inadequately for some time, with a heavy bout of curing it surprisingly managed to get considerably better and despite an unappealing dark shade of ash still being produced, the flavour & smoothness improved exceptionally, remaining unhindered.
With this positive transformation noted, Spoiled Grape ended up ticking more boxes than originally thought and with some further dialling in still required, will be a good choice for enthusiasts of grape dominant strains.
