Never having had any flowers from the fairly recent Yogos before, I was interested in seeing how their new release of Starfruit fared. With the branding referencing confectionery and arriving in an additional layer of boxed packaging. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a syrupy candy aroma, delivering sugary sweet notes of cherries and strawberries, alongside a citrus and gentle floral Gelato earthiness, complemented by refreshing notes of cream and light menthol. The buds were of a hard density and had a hybrid structure.

They were a shade of light green with sporadic hues of of purple, behind a thick layer of almost white trichomes, with thick messy rustic pistils. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering a syrupy sweet candy infusion of cherries and strawberries, alongside a creamy earthy Gelato, with undertones of refreshing menthol, pine and sour lemons. The taste of this syrupy gas was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling.

The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked fairly smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I overall found Starfruit to deliver an expected candy profile with distinctive syrupy and menthol traits. With some further dialling in required, Starfruit will remain a strong staple of Yogo’s constantly expanding lineup.
