Strain Review: Ecto Cooler by Heavy Loads

Next on the Heavyloads lineup to review is Etco Cooler, being another LCG cross. With the branding referencing the Hi-C orange based fruit drink, made popular with using the character Slimer from Ghostbusters. Upon opening I received a rush of a familiar candy aroma, displaying a sweet grape and cherry infusion, accompanied by zesty citrus notes, and subtle Gelato undertones. The buds were of a medium to hard density, having a combined boulder and foxtail structure, being a shade of medium green with purple hues and guts, alongside a thick layer of trichomes, with minimal rustic hydroponic hairs. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by an enticingly sweet candy gas. Displaying sweet notes of strawberries, grapes and cherries, complemented by a light citrus and Gelato gas. Through combustion the sweetness was maintained, leaving a delightful deep centred sweet gas retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of very light silver, alongside an instantaneous oozing and leaking resinous oil ring, smoking smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, I was overly impressed with Etco Cooler, with it being my favourite flower from The Heavyloads lineup, and a strong contender in one of the top ten candy strains I’ve had the pleasure of trying. It ticked all boxes, excelling in flavour and with minimal dialling in required can be perfected even more.
