Archive Portland Moonbow 112 Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

Moonbow 112 has solid bag appeal. It’s distinguished by immense, chunky nugs that are rounded. The nugs themselves are lime and forest green with subtle black leafage, warm orange pistils, and a scattering of large, granular trichomes sprinkled over the top. Breaking open a nug reveals pink and purple hues, ingrained pistils, and a profuse array of trichome stalks with sizable, wet-looking heads 🤩 The smell on the Moonbow is astonishing. The presentation is best described as doughy, sugary, and gassy with delicate notes of fruit. It’s a sweet, candied aroma paired with an almost creamy yeastiness. Beyond the initial patisserie pull, the flower has this zesty, powerful petrol gas aroma mixed in that generates a piquant, burning, caramelized sugar profile. Breaking open the buds amplifies the dough and gas smell, producing candied, burnt rubber polyethylene notes 🍩 The taste on the Moonbow is just as phenomenal as the smell. It’s an exceptionally doughy, creamy, and sugary sweet flavor with a pervasive, potent gassiness that tinges the nostrils while smoking. The flower has some notes of candied fruitiness that are stronger on exhale, but the whole profile has this tart, spiced doughy gas that just engulfs everything else as the joint burns down. It’s a raunchy, gnarly flavor is reminiscent of a beignet if you poured kerosene over the top and lit it on fire ⛽️ The effect on the Moonbow is quite satisfying. It’s an even high that manages to be highly intoxicating without too much couch lock. It creates cognitive relief that slowly wraps around the entire head and an overall feeling of relaxation in the neck. The flower is sticky but grinds down to a smooth, fine product that is easy to roll and pack. It produces a negligible amount of kief. The flower burns perfectly and smoothly all the way down 😶‍🌫️ All in all, the Moonbow 112 is a magnificent cultivar. It manages to check all of the boxes it needs to, but what really makes it stand out is the beguiling, candied, dough and gas presentation with a high that fits like a glove. The Moonbow is a testament to Archive’s breeding and genetic work 🔥
