Top Secret Strain Review

I have ran through about a ounce now of Top Secret from Alien Labs and I have to say for being sativa leaning I still really enjoyed it. I say that because I’m a sucker for heavy slumped out indicas but I know sometimes I have to be reasonable when I gotta get shit done throughout the day. The first thing that stands out about this strain is how big the nugs are for it being listed as smalls. I don’t even get these big of nugs in $60 eighths sometimes. With that said, the only downside with the nugs is they were a little dry and for how fresh the packaging was I expected them to be fresher and denser.

The aroma of Top Secret gives off a light orange juice mixed with an earthy kush nose that kind of gives off a sour vibe. It’s bright, vibrant, and intoxicating to the nose. You can tell pretty quickly from the aroma that it’s sativa dominant but it’s not too overpowering in the citrus field like most of them are, something in the lineage is bringing out that kush to balance it out.

Flavor and exhale was pretty solid but due to the nugs being a little on the dry side, it did make some of the hits a tad harsh in my opinion. Other than that there were bright flavors with a light orange citrus background that was somewhat consistent and carried a good amount of lingering flavor on the taste buds.

The effects were definitely my favorite part of the strain as it’s almost a perfect daytime/work smoke. The sativa leaning high has euphoric, creative, and focused effects, but at the same time it still brings relaxation and calmness without the sativa jitters or raciness. After smoking I felt motivated to get things done as it didn’t slump me out or put too much heavy pressure on my eyes.

To conclude I would say you cannot go wrong with Top Secret if you are looking for a nice day smoke to be motivated, creative, and euphoric. I smoked this half zip mostly during the day while I was working and found it to be really helpful easing stress and anxiety without feeling knocked out, while keeping me focused and levelheaded.
