Strain Review: Wayne by World Is Yours Exotics x The Baydestrians

Having enjoyed WIYE and Baydestrians recent drop of Biggs, I was excited in seeing how its counterpart of the Shottas signature series, Wayne fared. With it sharing a similar lineage, replacing Cotton Candy with Runtz.
Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a sweet, spicy candy gas, displaying notes of cherries and bubblegum with wood, spice, citrus and pastel undertones, accompanied by a Gelato influenced earthy and chemical gas, with creamy and hazelnut traits. The buds were of a hard density, having a hybrid structure.
They were a shade of light green with sporadic hues of purple, and attractive pink and purple guts, alongside minimal rustic pistils and coated in an almost white thick layer of gleaming trichomes.
Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by a well balanced infusion of candy and Gelato, displaying sweet sugary notes of cherries, strawberries and remnants of bubblegum, alongside a pungent earthy, spicy and chemical gas with hazelnut and creamy undertones.
Through combustion the taste develops a savoury backend, leaving a dissipating candy and spicy gas retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring.
It smoked relatively smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I found Wayne to be a potent concoction of deep earthy and spicy notes, sweetly infused with cherries, ultimately resulting in a Gelato dominant Runtz.
It smoked well, ticking most boxes and was highly potent, making a great nighttime strain. With a little further dialling in, Wayne can remain a great staple of WIYE and Baydestrians collaborated lineup alongside it’s equally impressive counterpart Biggs.
