Dab Review: Tropical Runtz #2 Hash Rosin by Decibel Farms

Tropical Runtz #2 is a gorgeous yellow-beige hash rosin. It’s a cold-cured badder that appears fresh and wet from a glistening layer of shiny terpenes coating the outside of the concentrate. The rosin is quite malleable, as a result of which it required only slight effort to get product on and off of a dab tool 🍯
The nose on the Tropical Runtz is extraordinarily aromatic and pleasing. Before I saw what the actual cross was, I assumed that the Tropical side was just Tropicana Cookies because the scent is utterly dominated by sweet citrus and creamy vanilla. It has a warm, slightly spicy and earthy attribute under the vanilla that adds some compelling contrast in the profile. The Runtz adds a more tangible zest to the sweet and citrus notes, enhancing those flavors instead of supplementing the overwhelming candy-bag trait that it’s usually characterized by 🍊
Tropical Runtz is delicious. The taste translates consistently from the smell meaning that it leans pretty hard on tangie terps. It’s a mouthful of citrus flavoring on the inhale with heavy smooth vanilla on the exhale. It has an artificial/syrupy flavor to it that reminds me of a melted orange cream popsicle or an orange jelly bean. It stains the tongue with orangey terps and left me tasting it for an extended amount of time after dabbing🍦
The high on the Tropical Runtz is noteworthy and relaxing. It provides a nice cerebral kick with some minor body effects. Not to be underestimated though, the high has a little weight to it that makes it feel quite satisfying. It’s an overall smooth dabbing experience. The concentrate burned clean leaving a mild amount of residue 😶🌫️
All in all, the Tropical Runtz #2 is an exceptional concentrate. It hits each criterion across the board easily. I’ve had a soft spot for @decibelfarms ever since I tried their Rotten Banana and Banana Punch rosins. These most recent drops are terrific in both quality and price point. It’s a lower priced concentrate that demands a place at the table with other rosins that are 20-30 dollars more expensive. Outstanding product overall 🔥
