Strain Review: Charizard’s Dragon Breath by Tokemon

LINEAGE/GENETICS: GELATO 41 X Gelonade
(Thin Mint Cookies x Sunset Sherbet) x (Gelato 41 x Lemon Tree)

Left feeling slightly disappointed after my last Tokemon review I did not know what to expect with this next strain, however on discovering the lineage I was eager to try it and give them another shot. Upon opening I received an instant rush of unexpected sour blueberry notes, infused with a sweet but pungent gas, displaying a Kush and Gelato lineage, alongside hints of citrus and marzipan. Smelling strangely highly reminiscent of Sherbanger. Although a pleasant smell, I was not receiving any obvious notes I anticipated from the lineage. The buds were of a hard density, having a foxtail structure, being a shade of medium green, alongside purple hues and guts, with rustic hydroponic hairs, and showered in trichomes. Looking, again like a Sherbanger (Headband OG) cross. Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by an overpowering gassiness, displaying Kush and Cookie traits. Subtle sour but sweet citrus notes consisting of blueberries, and possibly a distant lemon start to develop whilst combusting, leaving the taste of an earthy sour gas with a faint sweetness upon exhaling, with a slight harshness noted. The joint produced ash being a shade of very light silver, alongside an absolute dripping and oozing resinous oil ring, smoking both passingly smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, although passable and slightly better than JPBG, I was let down by the flavour. Unfortunately I could not ascertain any Gelonade notes as anticipated and I am inclined to say that this is more a Sherbanger/Headband OG cross rather than the lineage displayed, however as always, it is from a reputable source and has been verified by Tokemonla. With the taste not being to my personal preference, I can only recommend CB to enthusiasts of gassy strains, predominantly Sherbanger and Headband OG crosses. An incidental detail, Ninestail (being a Runtz phenotype) is rumoured to be Tokemon’s best strain, however unfortunately was not available for review.
