Lumpy’s Cherry Jane Rosin Review
Appearance: Of the two flavors of rosin I received from Billy this one was just sweating terps right away. It has a light blond pearlescent radiance that just makes you want to stair into its depths for great lengths of time. I took a few dabs for the review and over the course of maybe 10 minutes it really started saucing up at room temp. I poked at it with my dab tool and the crevices just fill up with terps almost right away. The texture out of the fridge is easy to work with but due to how terpy this one is that can change if you leave it out of the fridge for too long. That said if you have a heated dab deal there’s no issues.
Aroma: This smell on this one really brings me back to the days of yore. 😂 I’m from Sacramento area so I’ve had the pleasure of trying the cherry pie back when it was popping out of the bay way back when and you can just tell the nose on this one just wreaks of literal cherry pie filling. 🥧
It’s such a sweet artificial cherry smell it almost reminds me of grenadine. It’s got that quintessential gassy cookie stank to it that we all know and love but aside from that though there’s this sour lemon-lime effervescence that gives it a little pop on the back end. For people who are looking for something in the sweet end of the spectrum this will do you just fine.
Taste/smokeability: The flavor on this one was actually pretty cookie forward. I still got a lot of that sweet cherry pie filling but it was almost neck and neck with the doughy gassy cookie flavors that were popping off. The lemon lime carbonated type aspect is still there it’s just not as prominent as it was in the nose. This actually coasts the tongue with piney type of musk at the end that I didn’t really pink up in the smell. 👃 This had very little expansion. I was able to take a few big dabs without busting my lungs. 🫁
Effect: This stuff comes at you like a Mack truck. 🚛 It definitely reminds me of that old school cherry pie because I felt my eyes get red instantly. I’m kind of an older head and there just aren’t many strains that get me to that level these days but this is one of them. After taking a few dabs of this I felt my eyeballs and my jaw relax. 🧘 definitely a great thing to use for muscle tension. After that came the ravenous hunger. I had to resist the urge to eat my kids snacks but I’m only human so I may have had a few…Duration was pretty solid. After those two dabs I didn’t have any more for over 2.5 hours.
Overall: This has firmly cemented myself as a big fan of Billygoatmelts! There’s a lot of people putting product out there but once in a while you find something where you can literally taste the passion. This one was done just as well as the banana bread. If you know him you know all he puts out is high quality. If you love fire hash don’t hesitate to try anything he has to offer. Shout out to lumpstatus for breeding amazing material for this man to work with because my word it is just the bees knees. 🐝 🦵
