Mendocino Train Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
California’s Country Cannabis – not the ones from other states, has a nice lineup of cultivars but one in particular caught my eye and then my nose and ended up on my to try list. What a nose! The smell is sharp kinda like a jack faking as a durban but under it there are distinct fruit punch medley strikes with a splash of lemon vibes. That is to say, there’s a distinct reminiscent of a fruit trainwreck aroma coming out of here. The sharp, tropical, rind and almost fizzy smells of certain CBD heavy cultivars has always struck me with their similarity to certain Type 1 cultivars. Seriously though, this smell is pretty rare and I really like seeing type 2 cultivars on the legal market. This one is one of the best type 2s I’ve come across in awhile, and its terp profile matching up with my preferences is just one of the reasons. Brilliant as a wake and bake. Starting the day with a type 2 cultivar, or a mix of some hemp flower with your Schwarzenegger’d THC flower is a good way to mediate your tolerance buildup over time. I’d really like to offer a doob of this to some full time dabbers because this is the epitome of the “full spectrum” proper entourage effect high that’s missing from pretty much everything but the very best hash. While we’re here. Let’s give it up for the Mendocino Train workers of the past. Especially the forgotten ones. Mendo doesn’t have that many trains left, but the most famous is undoubtedly the Skunk Train. I recently learned about the history of how the Skunk Train tunnel was dug and how the Chinese laborers that did it were expelled from Fort Bragg afterwards, walked to Mendocino and were welcomed by the little coastal town which was one of the few towns in that part of California not to outlaw Chinese people back in the Chinese Exclusion Act days. There’s a lot of history when it comes to Mendocino trains, and this bag of Mendocino Train lets you sit back and chill and think about it all without getting too upset. That’s some good light cannabis!Founder of The Highest Critic
