Cultivar Review: Pinkleberry Lemonade F1 (PILE) by Green Source Gardens
I was fortunate enough to meet Nick from Green Source Seeds at Jerry’s Seed Swap where he was a seed vendor and a member of the Breeder’s panel.
At a later point in time, he hooked me up with some Pinkleberry Lemonade F1 also known as PiLe. From the very first whiff, I was enchanted and have been sharing it far and wide.

Pinkleberry Lemonade Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
Terpinolene out the wazooooo. It fills the nostrils and then the sinus and is really one for the books. At first it’s tropical funk but it evens out to a sugary lemon peel infusion that just makes the mouth water and the body start digesting. Having only discovered limoncello after I quit drinking alcohol, I don’t have a taste comparison but I’ve certainly smelled a lot of it on both sides of the pond. It’s sour and fermented, not quite as fermented or oniony as an African landrace, but much more tropical and hazey like a Vietnamese landrace. But that’s just the first note. The tropical fades into a very familiar lemon peel extract odor. In my experience sungrown highlights all the complexities and layers of the family tree. Underneath the bright tropical notes are bass earth notes of something like a carbonated blackberry pepper jam. Ends with a peppery blast of high desert wind from the high mountains. Very sticky and there’s a little lemony end of skunk piss not must when you squeeze. Your fingers will glisten after handling this nug. This lemon forward high mountain fruit basket is delicious. The taste was deliciously lemonadey and hashy at the same time, with ebbs and flows. The high has all the motivational power of the first month of a New Year’s Resolution and all the creativity of the last hour of a brainstorming session. That is to say, it’s like you’re fresh and sage at the same time. Ideas flow, but only when they’re well formed. It’s not a fidgety high, the energy is in the brain. The body’s inertia is real though. For those curious about the seeds, this is the info from the seed listing:“Pinkleberry Lemonade (Pinkleberry f7 x Limoncello f4) A smell explosion from this gorgeous cultivar combining the colorful allure of the Pinkleberry with the terpy spunk of the Limoncello. The Limoncello amps up the terps bringing ripe skunky lemons to the classic old school terpinolene nose of the Pinkleberry. We acquired the Limoncello from OM Alchemy Seed Co in Colorado and furthered the line here in Southern Oregon. Early Finishing.”
