Edibles Review: Space Waste by BoxHot

After a previous attempt to buy what I thought were infused pop rocks, I discovered Space Waste by BoxHot a dispensary in Saskatoon on what was probably the coldest day of the year.  It was minus 40 degrees Celcius and I was happy to find myself in the warmth of a well stocked weed shop. The silver package caught my eye – the tiny writing indicating that it was THC infused popping candy.  Bingo! I’ve eaten too many edibles since to recall what flavours they had but I choose the Lunar Lemon Lime. The whole package contained 10 mg of THC and once I wrestled the child proof locked zipper seal, I opened the envelope to find the popping candy loose inside.  My only critique about this candy was that it was less lunar rocks and more lunar dust.  There were several larger chunks but there was quite a bit of sand-like bits.  I dumped it all it all in my mouth and I have to say there’s no elegant way to do this.  If you want to look like a fiend eating your edibles, this is it. The popping sensation was great even if the flavour was definitely an astringent fake lemon lime taste you’d probably expect from a candy like this.  It was pure sugar popping in my mouth, sticking to my molars with a hint of the bitter edge of the THC distillate.  These took be back to my youth, as someone with a sweet tooth, I enjoyed a lot of candy as a kid.  It’s a wonder I have all my teeth. Overall, Space Waste was a fun and enjoyable edible.  Too bad you can’t get it in a higher potency, but that’s the current Canadian legislation for you.  Yes the flavour was super fake tasting but that’s what this candy is all about, except it can get you high.
