Finishing off the 7 part Mandalorian Melts series, we have a Reserva Privada Jar of Champaya69. My first impression of this jar had mixed feelings, but over the course of seshing it, it has really grown on me a lot. Fresh out the fridge it opens up to a waxy slab of dark tan honey mustard brown, with Gold tint (pics 2&3); but after warming up, (& whipping & aerating it) definitely develops a gold dominance with a pinch of peachy-orange. The consistency is a thick creamy but saucy classic Reserva, w/ a beautiful thick whip that settles with some sauciness. It was quite a bit different color & consistency than the Champaya69 that was included in the Windu/Mace thumbprint but by the end of the jar it was a bright Gold, that lathered up nicely (see story post). The Terps have that peachy-papaya-mango tropical skunky funky gassy sweetness that holds a pinch of cheese & rotten fermented fruit, right behind that in close proximity is an orange-tangie creamy twist with a delicious bubbly beige champagne flat-carbonation sweetness. It also has a strong likeness to Starburst Candy & Coconut Cream on the nose. The terps were medium strength, but after whipping it each sesh the terps gained some nose volume, and are noticeably popping by the jars finale. The Vapor was clean, tasty, & smooth. The flavor is thick on the mouth, major orange-peach-papaya-mango carbonated ‘beige flavored’ champagne, skunky, funky, cheesy, sweet, tropical, but the pungent rotten fermented fruit translated especially thick, revealing a unique ‘vomit’ terp that actually accompanies the tropicals, fruits, & champagne very nicely! The inhale is creamy sweet & smooth, the exhale is gassy, pungent, & funky. The 2 min sesh at 490* produces full clouds & flavor for 1:20 with a steady decline to the end. The effects hit hard, with a nice sharp onset, that settles into a calming euphoric bake that is majorly relaxing but eases social anxieties with a pinch of uplift. My first impression of this jar was about 8.9/10 but the color, consistency & terp developments boost the final score to 9.39/10.
