📜 Carmel – Billy’s Pheno #1 Animal Face Cookies

Carmel started the Drew’s Pheno series earlier this year, which is already on a second strain. Not to be contained they now have their Billy’s Pheno series. Drew is Carmel’s Master Grower, and just as integral to their nationwide pheno hunt is Billy the Flower Manager. Here they’ve found Animal Face Cookies, bred and grown by Papers Craft out of Alberta. It pays homage to the Animal Face genetics that made Carmel famous, while the GSC side creates something new totally different
Open the pack with caution. Any room, store, or subway car it is opened in will completely dank. There is a slight lime undernote but more than anything its gas and skunk. From far, you smell a deep earthiness that lingers each time the bag’s so much as cracked. I got a fat 3g nug with one other to round it out. The trim and cure are perfect. The production overall is standout, showing off some of the prettiest trichs I’ve seen in a while. Amber and cloudy, but also plentiful without any knocked off. When ground the lime notes come out a bit more recalling citrus rind
The earthiness comes back when smoked and reminded me of that old school. Peat and moss with a slight sweetness. The effects though.. knock out. Immediate pressure behind the eyes and my head actually felt heavy, a first in a very long time. My body went limp and back pain was booted. The full 29% THC is felt in every fiber giving a complete sense of downtime. I was not able to get a lot specific COA report, though was told the terp ratios are roughly in line with the one posted by Papers Craft on their insta. It shows about a third of the total terps being just caryophyllene. And with our batch testing at 4.93% total, that’s a lot of gas. Anyone afraid of indica effects should stay away as this is sure to hit damn near everyone without warning nor apology
Overall this is undoubtedly a true quad. If you want the heaviest indicas possible this will be more up your alley, but for me it is two bowls before bed. I love this model to bring unique new bud to market while giving the orange bag seal of quality. Drew and Billy, can’t wait to see what yall find next! 🧡⛽⛽🤤😴
