With Animal Tsunami being responsible for some great strains from Jungleboys, being in Fujiwhara and Club 41, I was excited to be able to see how it fared by itself. With it boasting a high 39.94% total sum of cannabinoids. Upon opening I instantly received a pungent Cookies earthiness with creamy and spicy traits infused with chemicals and Skunk, alongside a faint floral somewhat caramel sweetness. The buds were of a medium to hard density, having a hybrid structure.
They were a shade of light to medium green with sporadic hues of purple, alongside minimal rustic pistils, and absolutely doused in trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering a pungent infusion of Skunk and Cookies with spicy and earthy notes with hints of cream, accompanied by a floral subdued sweetness with distinctive remnants of caramel. The taste of this mildly sweet spicy earthiness is retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling.
The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous dripping and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean.
To conclude, I ultimately found Animal Tsunami to deliver an enjoyable pungent earthiness, with an effective mild but unique sweetness. It ticked most boxes and smoked pleasantly well. Despite rating fairly high, I definitely recommend its successor Fujiwhara (A. Tsunami x A. Tsunami) which is my personal favourite so far in the expanding Animal Tsunami lineup from Jungleboys.
