Island Pink aka the Tom Ford cut is a pheno of Pink Kush selected for a fruitier flavor. In Simply Bare’s selection this manifests in an insane farnesene count. A rarer terp, though being selected for more and more, it has a sweet cedar aroma and is often found in cherry strains, such as Cherry Punch and Cherry Diesel. Its effects are similar to pinene, in that it promotes mental productivity and can make a hard hitter more alert, social, or cerebrally stimulating. Combined with Pink Kush’s heavier genetics and this great 28.6% THC count, the 2.37% of just farnesene results in a long-lasting high that will sit you down but keep you active enough to game or giggle
Opening the container, even long after cracking, still impresses. The farnesene makes the otherwise diesel notes of the Pink much sweeter, giving off sandalwood as the candy notes combine with the earthiness. The nug selection is bomb with just two big guys. And the trim is great considering the bud structure, with them leaving just a few frosted tiny ones among the nooks and crannies
The smoke is thick. I found myself coughing for the first time with Simply Bare, though more in the highschool heavy smoke way. The cure is perfect, shown by the slow but steady burn and strong overall taste. Speaking of, the taste stayed true to the nose with sweet kush. There is the nostalgic spice and musk, but put through a sugary lens
The high smacked but had enough courtesy to prop me up. Immediate pressure behind my eyes, like Pink Kush should, but instead of feeling sleepy I stayed sociable and at least semi alert. I found myself choosing it consistently after work, beating out stash staples. After work I just want to be a puddle. Melt my body, face, and brain.. but don’t put me to bed before I need to go. Island Pink delivers
This is the best Pink Kush on the market, and definitely the one to get, as long as you aren’t looking for that pure caryophyllene gas. Tried and true genetics grown by one of the best in the game. What more could you want? 🥊😆🥊🤤🥊
