Jungle Boys 2023 Blue Cheese Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

SMELL: 7.2/10 FLAVOUR: 8.5/10 SMOOTHNESS: 8.2/10 ASH APPEARANCE: 7.2/10 STRENGTH: 9.2/10 OVERALL SMOKE: 8.2/10 blue cheese by jungle boys strain review by cannoisseurselections With Blue Cheese being one of my favourite strains throughout the late 2000’s (until around 2012, when it became pretty much non existent), I was extremely excited to see if Jungleboys could revive this once greatness. Boasting a modest 32.4% total sum of cannabinoids. Upon opening I received a rush of a memorable old school Skunk aroma, displaying spicy and earthy traits with undertones of light minted blueberries and cheese. Unfortunately not exhibiting the pungent blueberry and skunk aroma associated with my memories of the original Blue Cheese crossed with Blueberry. The buds were of a medium density, having a foxtail structure. They were a shade of golden medium green, with sporadic hues of purple, alongside messy rustic pistils, and doused in trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by a floral, spicy and primarily earthy gas, accompanied by light berries and mint, with hints of cheese. This subtle infusion was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I found Jungleboys rendition of Blue Cheese to smoke pleasantly well, and tick most boxes. On a downside, although it produces an adequate enough berry earthy old school cheesy skunk essence, it unfortunately does not display the extremely pungent blueberry taste I eagerly anticipated with an original blueberry lineage. Whether oldschool pungent blueberry terpenes can be revived in general, by any brand for that matter is another topic altogether, however with minor dialling in required, JB’s rendition of Blue Cheese is still a nice release and can be further perfected for what it is and remain a staple to their lineup. blue cheese by jungle boys strain review by cannoisseurselections 2.webp
