After a long anticipated wait (due to a bombardment of fakes in the UK) Backpack Boyz name had recently made a comeback on a reputable source’s menu. With that being said, as well as BPB collaborating with Uncle Snoop, I did not hesitate to purchase Bored 8th. Upon opening, I received a complex smell of sweet berry undertones, masked by an earthy presence with faint sherbet notes. The buds were a shade of light green, with faint purple and violet hues, sitting on top of a river of trichomes. They were overly dense and round, having a finish known as “bored” (apparently this is how it got its name). Upon inhaling, I received a sweet infusion of cherries and berries, this sweetness was accompanied by a strong sherbet and slight earthy cookie backend. The Sherbet transcends upon exhaling, with the taste transforming slightly bitter, and earthy, maintaining the initial light sweet berry notes. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium grey, alongside a sweating oil ring. It smoked relatively smooth and clean. In my opinion this flower ticked all the boxes, however the earthiness was just too dominant, compromising the potential sweetness. Overall, it was a passable smoke, and I’m glad I can say I got to try it, however could do with further dialling in.
