I typically avoid really hyped strains, so I haven’t reviewed popular strains like GSC or Wedding Cake, because I like to make sure I’m adding something to the conversation. It’s hard to avoid those strains because they’re the foundation of so many crosses these days, which is true of this Cake Batter flower. Hear me out. Cake Batter shines where Wedding Cake could use a boost. Since I can’t find any sativa these days, I like my hybrids to lean more uplifting than ultra-relaxed. For me, Wedding Cake makes me feel drowsy, which is one of my pet peeves with hybrids. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ With Cake Batter, I get Wedding Cake’s relaxation without the heavy-handed push toward a nap, plus a burst of euphoria. This strain stopped my creative block right in its tracks.
