Captain Couch Strain Review

The bag appeal on Captain Couch is wild. The fluffy, spear-shaped buds are so encrusted in trichromes that tiny caverns of frosting form between the lumps of the nug. There is light green, dark green, and black leafage that can be seen under the trichromes, as well as a large amount of amber orange hairs that intertwine across the surface of each bud. The combination of colors, big puffy buds, and a metric fuck ton of trichromes make this strain a treat for the eyes. 🤩 The nose on Captain Couch is also lovely. The Tropicana Cookies dominate the profile with orangey citrus terps that are so strong that they radiate from the nugs. There are also sweet, floral, and earthy layers that are apparent. The deeper earthy side of the aroma has pungent, cinnamon-esque quality to it that tickles the nose when smelling it. Breaking open a nug enhances the sweet and citrus qualities of the smell 🍪 The flavor on Captain Couch is just as loud as the smell. The tangerine/orange terps are on full display from the first hit. The taste reminds me of the artificial orange in a Jones Orange Cream soda and I love it. There are also of warm notes of sweet earthiness in there as well that round out the flavor and give it a more complex and layered quality. 🥤 The strain is super sticky when breaking it down and literally covers the bottom of a grinder with a powdery dusting of kief. The high on this strain is interesting. It feels light and cerebral, but creates some head fogginess. In general I would consider this more of a morning or midday strain, but I could smoke it all day with how smooth and flavorful of a smoke it is. I hardly coughed while smoking this batch. 😶‍🌫️ Overall, the Captain Couch is a phenomenal strain. I would recommend it. Captain Couch crushes every criteria across the board, but the visuals, aroma, and flavor are what really stand out. This is the first strain that I’ve had by @happydaddyproducts but I will be on the lookout for more going forward.
