Carbon Fiber Strain Review
The bag appeal is insane. These dense nugs are more silver than anything else from being encrusted in a heavy layer of trichromes. While some nugs are green underneath the array of trichromes and thick orange hairs, most nugs are closer to dark purple or black. Breaking open one of these gorgeous buds reveals a halo of green. The gradient starts light on the inside and moves to deep dark purple on the outside, all absolutely drenched in sticky trichromes. This is one of those strains that can sell out on bag appeal alone. 😍 When I cracked open the jar, the aroma that came from the strain was complex and layered. The smell is somewhat muted. It’s initially doughy with sweet grape and berries but there’s also creamy and tangy layers somewhere in there. Cracking open a nug unveils a strong layer of spicy petrol and unmutes the sweet fruity aromas that are present before breaking the nug. It’s really appealing and complex. ⛽️ The taste is similarly complex. Again, sweet berries and dough are initially apparent on the inhale, with underlying doughy notes stronger on the exhale. Moreover, there is a subtle gas funkiness that gets stronger as the joint burns down. This strain really gives terp whiplash in terms of smell and taste. It’s so hard to pin down, yet so appealing. I saw @psychicblossom refer to the profile as “rusted metal,” and I honestly get it. The strain really isn’t overly sticky. It creates a moderate to high level of kief. The strain burns really well all the way down and is a super smooth smoke. It’s a great all day smoke that still hits. 🤤 This strain is a, “buy and share it with friends, but hoard as the jar gets lower,” for me. It literally checks all of the boxes, but the most standout quality is definitely the bag appeal. I find the smell and taste muted, but extremely pleasant. It’s not a palette stainer, but it’s absolutely appealing. This is my first strain from @heights.co but I would definitely pick up more based on this strain.
