The Leftovers has magnificent bag appeal. It’s characterized by medium-sized, dense buds with large green and plum purple leaves. The nugs are immersed in a thick covering of trichomes with colossal heads, giving the crystalline coating a grainy appearance. Cinnamon colored pistils wrap closely around the buds in sporadic spots. Altogether, Leftovers is an unreservedly beautiful flower 😍
The Leftovers has a remarkable nose. It’s funky, first and foremost, but what stands out the most with the profile is how it manages to encapsulate almost every shade of GMO in one. What I mean by that, is that the nose has layers of garlic, musty funky, and astringent chem all rolled into one gassy package. The GMO isn’t all it has going for it though, the strain has notes of earthiness and woodiness, as well as a more significant splash of sweetness that permeates the entire profile. Contrasting sugary sweet and acerbic chem gas terps are released when breaking down the buds ⛽️
The taste on the Leftovers is a symphony of savoriness. It’s a convoluted combination of earthiness, garlic, and sweet. The inhale has sweet airy notes laced with sharp chem. The exhale, on the other hand, reminds me more of a garlicky halitosis funk. The cultivar leaves an earthy after taste with a gassy tang. Leftovers is a good name for this strain because it has so many different flavor profiles present 👅
The effect on the Leftovers is outstanding. It produces a soothing head heaviness and a soft feeling of relaxation all over my back. It’s a full body high that manages to feel heavy without too much couch lock. The buds are soft, not sticky, and produce a heavy amount of kief when ground up. It’s a velvety smooth smoke that burns perfectly all the way down. In general, it’s a stellar smoking experience 😶🌫️
All in all, the Leftovers is an exceptional cultivar. It hits every criteria it needs to, but more than that, it epitomizes a top-shelf strain from bag appeal to effect.
