Strain Review: Fujiwhara by Jungle Boys

Not having had Animal Tsunami before, I was fairly interested in putting it to the test. With it boasting a high sum of cannabinoids at 41.44%. Upon opening I received an old school, skunk influenced chemical earthiness alongside musky overtones and a familiar Cookies influence. This pungent aroma was accompanied by subtle traits of Sour Diesel and sparkling grapes. The buds were of an unappealing appearance, having a hard density, and typical JBs structure. They were a shade of light golden green, with minimal rustic pistils, and seasoned lightly with trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by a subtle infusion of an earthy and chemical Cookies gas accompanied by notes of sour citrus and subdued pine. This gentle gas was complemented by light floral and sweet notes displaying traits of subdued grapes, marmalade, caramel and faint papaya. The taste of this floral gassy infusion is retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced immaculate fluffy ash being a shade of almost white to very light silver, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It was smoking both smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, although Fujiwhara’s subtle floral Cookies flavour may not appeal to everyone, I was left overly impressed, and found it ticked a lot of boxes, smoking very pleasantly, and displaying its unique lineage effectively. With minimal dialling in required, I would love to see the recently released Fujiwhara remain a strong staple to the Jungleboys lineup.
