Strain Review: Jigglypuff’s Bubble Gum by Tokemon

JIGGLYPUFF’S BUBBLE GUM
LINEAGE/GENETICS: PINK BUBBLE GUM X ZOAP
(Indiana Bubble Gum x Pink 2.0) x (Rainbow Sherbet BX2 x Guava 16)

Being a new and upcoming brand setting up in Cali, we have Tokemon, basing their product marketing on Pokémon, I was interested to be able to get my hands on some recent drops. With the first under review, being the ridiculously named “Jigglypuff’s” Bubble Gum. Upon opening I received a subtle sweet gas, displaying menthol and gassy notes infused with sweet guava alongside light undertones of strawberries. Smelling reminiscent of a 2017 Guava Gelato, rather than really displaying any familiar traits of the anticipated Zoap,. The buds were of a hard density, having a foxtail structure, being a shade of almost white to light green, with rustic hydroponic hairs, and covered in trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by notes translating from the smell. Delivering a sweet candy concoction, with notes consisting of guava and strawberries, infused with a pungent gassy OG, accompanied by sour notes of citrus. Through combustion the sour gassy side prevails, with the candy starting to slowly dissipate, leaving the taste of gas and sweet bubblegum upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of very light silver, alongside a dripping resinous oil ring, smoking slightly harsh however tasting clean. To conclude, as one of the first drops I found this flower semi passable. It had a sweet bubblegum and sour gassy taste, alongside a decent oil ring and ash, the only downside is that there was a harshness present upon exhaling, leaving further dialling in required. Just an incidental detail, although technically individual notes of Zoap were present, there were none obviously distinguishable to the taste normally associated with it. Hopefully once dialled in, and maybe more of a Zoap presence, JPBG will be a nice flower. The next Tokemon to review is Charizard’s Breath.
