Lemon Cherry Gelato Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

From the first time I got in to smoking bud from the cali dispo scene , I was intrigued by backpack boyz. They had the genetics, the hype and the eye catching art and packaging. I was lucky enough to start out getting very nice black market batches and now even luckier to get to choose from their rec drops. One that always evaded me was one I always heard was the best and also happened to be one of my favorite strains. Lemon cherry gelato. I tried all their other gelatos. Peanut butter, apple, the guavas, black cherry, white cherry haha all of them but the lcg would sell out every time. So when it was available grabbed it as soon as I could and got as many as I could. Is it possible to live up to this much hype? Bag appeal: 9/10 to me when I see these buds my mouth immediately starts watering. I know I’m about to get very high and my taste buds are gonna be very happy. They might not be the prettiest but it’s what’s inside that counts. They are mostly all smaller buds that were very soft. Very bright greens with dark purple hues in the guts. Bright orange hairs with sticky crystals coating the buds. Very powdery trichomes that coated ur fingers with amazing lemon terps. For being a lemon cherry strain I think this was super pretty and well done. Most important thing was it was super super fresh. Smell: 9/10 I was expecting a 🍋 🍒 explosion when I opened this bag… unfortunately it wasn’t as strong as I expected but still just as good. The lemon terps definitely overpowered the cherry terps but the cherry was there just enough to keep it super enjoyable. Smelled a lot like the zebra gum from when we were younger. The gelato smell is very slight on the backend with the nice creamy terps. When you open the buds up is where it’s really special. It’s like when u bite in to a gusher and all the flavor comes out. I couldn’t stop sniffing it. The smell stuck to my fingers for a while after haha. Overall I honestly do wish it was a little stronger but I did really enjoy what was there. I feel like backpack does good at making the terps smell natural instead of like a spray or something. Smoke: 9.5/10 the smoke was nearly perfect. It actually tasted like how I said it smelled. The zebra gum. Crazy. Super white ash. Very resinous. The blunt was straight dripping. My fingers were covered by the end. The high is just as good. Very calming high that’s great for pain relief and socializing. This is one bud I really stuff a blunt with as much as I can just for the taste. Overall: 9.5/10 wow these guys kill it when it comes to the gelato game but really kill it with the 🍋 🍒. This is for sure one of my favorite strains from them and I highly encourage people to try it. I can’t say it’s my favorite lcg cause cannatique still has that title but it came very very close. It was better in some ways but just not overall. Definitely going to keep grabbing this and won’t be surprised to see the batches get even better.
