Strain Review: Lumpy Space Princess (LSP) by Rosebud Growers

LSP is a gorgeous strain. The nugs are big, dense, and chunky. The forest green leafage and densely-wound orange hairs stand out immediately in terms of color, but theres also light purple, almost pink patches here and there. The purplish patches appear more frequently and intensely towards the bottom and inside of the nugs. A thin layer of shiny golden trichromes round out the palette creating a pleasingly unique hue and color presentation. 🤩
The nose on LSP is powerful and enticing. The first discernible part of the profile is a strong sour smell, but it is quickly followed by fairly complex layers of sweet sugar and pungent ammonia. Minor notes of pine, fruit, and earthiness are also present in the mix, creating an overall captivating fragrance. Its a nose tickling sour sweet lemonade funk. Breaking open nugs enhances the sour, funky quality of the smell and just makes it that much more enchanting. 🤤
The flavor on the LSP kicks you in the mouth just as hard as the scent pulls at your nose hairs. It’s sour sweet lemonade funk like the smell. The sour lemon terps are more prominent on the inhale, giving it a tangy and abrasive quality, while sweet, fruity terps provided a smoother exhale. It is a delicious strain that leaves the mouth coated in flavor. 🍋
The high on the LSP is outstanding. It’s cerebral and extremely strong. The headband feeling and euphoria were present almost immediately upon starting the first cone, and every single one afterwards just enhanced the wonderful feeling. It leans more sativa, for sure, but it’s very enjoyable. The strain burns perfectly and produces a mild level of kief when grinding. 🔥
Overall, I loved LSP. It’s a delectable and unique strain that I enjoyed smoking. The visuals are great, but the smell, flavor and high are where it really excels. It would be one of those repeat buy strains if I didn’t have anything new to try. If you haven’t tried this strain, or any of the other flagship strains from @rosebudgrowers.pdx , I would highly recommend doing so. Picked up at @americannapdx_2.0 s/o @nickenheiser 💥
