I have decided to finally release my review on Maine Lobster Tail, one of Tenco’s recent additions of 2022. Having seen a couple of questionable batches, I can confirm that the one I am reviewing is 100% legit. Advertised originally through clever marketing, this was sold in a limited edition Surf and Turf box, alongside Tenco’s Wagyu and badder. Upon opening I instantly received a rush of pungent Gelato, with a faint chemical scent, infused with citrus notes and a somewhat sweet backend. Paying homage to its sensational parents, Gelato and SF OG aka Triangle Kush; the smell brought back memories of Gushers. (TK and similar genetics on MLT, were responsible for making one of the greatest strains of 2016-2019 era – Gushers; if anyone was lucky enough to have tried it). The buds looked great, having a perfect density, and structure. They were light green, with sporadic purple hues, and light orange hairs, covering a universe of trichomes. On the inhale my palate was overcome by the taste of a pleasantly sweet rendition of a gassy Gelato. A well concocted mix of flavours, first starts with a dominant top end of Gelato, with faint chemical and citrus undertones. This quickly transcends into a Kush infused sweet sugar and ice cream dessert, leaving the taste of a sorbet in my mouth on the exhale. The joint produced white, to a light shade of grey ash, alongside an oozing oil ring. It smoked relatively smooth and tasted clean. I wouldn’t say it’s the old school Gushers I remember, however I actually really liked this flower and its taste. It does still need a little more dialling in for the smoothness, but even now I would definitely repurchase.
