Having previously enjoyed this tasty strain bred by J Beezy on a few occasions, I was excited to see how Preferred Garden’s rendition of Permanent Marker fared. Upon opening I instantly received a pungent infusion of Gelato displaying earthy, hazelnut and chemical traits, complemented by fairly sweet, floral Sherbet and menthol, musky undertones. Leaving remnants of a permanent marker pen.
The buds were of a medium to hard density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of medium golden green, with sporadic hues of purple, enriched in a glistening trichomes, alongside short rustic pistils. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering a pungent earthy, sweet and creamy Gelato earthiness, with traits of chemicals and fuel alongside floral Sherbet and light menthol undertones.
The taste of this sweet earthy gas was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean.
To conclude, I overall found Permanent Marker to smoke exceptionally well, being one of the best renditions I have had, delivering its lineage effectively, ticking most boxes. With a little further dialling in required, PM will remain a distinctive staple of Preferred Garden’s lineup, serving as a great choice for enthusiasts of gassy strains.
