Dolce Gelato Strain Review
It was my first time getting my hands on a Cookies Brand Strain, so safe to say this has been one of my most anticipated smokes of the year.
Look: Royal purple buds with pale Christmas tree green hues and copper colored pistils. Predominately dark purple overtones portray a certain potency further evidenced by a kiefey coating.
Smell/Taste: Classic Gelato smell with a piney twist. A familiar gelato fruity-sweet inhale, and a supremely peppery, gas and cookie flavored exhale. Very reminiscent of Gelato’s GSC lineage, with a notable sweeter profile.
Effect: Despite a “lower” THC (19.63%) percentage than other hyped strains, Dolce Gelato’s effect easily rivaled strains closer to 30%. Almost immediately Dole can be felt behind the eyes, and the high slowly consumed the whole head. A Sativa- for the first 20-30 mins, with a notable burst of energy and activity. Soon after however, some heavy, but incredibly pleasant indica effects kick in. Mild couch lock, HEAVY euphoria, and stress melting all to be expected.
