Join Club Swami for exclusive access to Swami Select flower

Club Swami is a new membership only club by Swami Select. Members will have access to a specially curated menu of flower from the Swami Select farm each quarter and be able to order for delivery in certain zip codes or pick up the box at a physical Club Swami event. Box contents are rare and might not even be available anywhere else. Understandably, Club Swami is all the rage among heady sungrown enthusiasts, and a membership was even seen on auction at the Mendocino Craft Farmers Auction. The Highest Critic caught up with Nikki Lastreto to talk about Club Swami. Nikki started with the impetus for Club Swami, saying that Club Swami has been “many years” in the making:
“I’ve envisioned it for many many years. I always thought the main thing I love about cannabis is the community it forms. I have for a long time wanted to have a club that is about cannabis community. We have a community among the growers and even among the smokers around the world. You can tell a stoner anywhere. That’s our brother or sister!”

Join the Club Swami community

Now, that community can be had by anyone in California. She described what makes Club Swami special:
“Club Swami is a little something special. It offers a lot to people who aren’t necessarily up in the Emerald Triangle. It’s more geared towards people in urban areas or people in more far away corners of California.”
Nikki hopes that even Kid Cudi’s eponymous lonely stoner can find community in Club Swami:
“There are still people that still can’t talk to their coworkers about them getting high. This is creating a platform where people can find others like themselves and know they’re getting the best of the best.”
For those that aren’t in one of the delivery zipcodes, Nikki emphasized that the in person events are a core part of the Club Swami community.
“We do have events as well as home delivery. Instead of getting it delivered, you can pick it up at one of our pick up events. People come together, we all get high. Swami is sitting there rolling up a bunch of fatty joints. They can pick up their quarterly boxes right there and most importantly they can meet each other. It’s instant community. People realize you’re a part of Club Swami, too – and there’s an instant connection.”

Learn about the cultivars included in the Club Swami box

The physical Club Swami pick up events aren’t all. After each quarterly box, there are virtual events. Nikki expanded:
“Swami and I will give a little talk at the events about cultivars after the deliveries have been made or things picked up. After two weeks, there is a members only zoom call for everybody to talk about what that cultivar was about.”
She mentioned that just a few weeks earlier in June, Daniel Morford of Heartrock Mountain Farm and Pride of the Lion Seeds talked about the cultivar that he had bred which Swami Select had grown and included in last quarter’s box: Shanti Lion.

Club Swami Orange Turbo Box

Nikki got excited talking about how special the next box is going to be:
“We’re doing our first drop in SF. It’s the Orange Turbo. This is the plant that Frenchy Cannoli fell in love with when he came to our farm. He just saw this plant and smelled it and said it was beautiful and it was beautiful. He made hashish from that and it was always his favorite until the day he died.”
That’s just the beginning. Nikki continued:
“What we’re going to be offering club members is Orange Turbo flower and also an opportunity to get some Orange Turbo hash made by Cherry Blossom Belle. She was Frenchy’s protege for many years. For her to make this hash is so special. It’s beyond special. The other thing that’s really amazing is the Orange Turbo seeds story. They were bred by Django Broomfield – who is the son of Roger who lived on a commune with Swami. We’ve known Django since he was born and we got these Orange Turbo seeds from him. He died from Lyme’s Disease. It was a big blow to the community. This whole offering is in honor of Frenchy Cannoli and Django Broomfield. We’re putting our heart out with this offering.”
Flower and hash of the same cultivar being sold side by side is a rare sight – especially of a cultivar with that much history. Nikki told me that like Club Swami, this too has been a long time coming:
“Frenchy always had this dream. Frenchy said that when selling the hashish, they should be selling the flower next to it. We’re finally doing it.”
Every quarter there’s a new special offering that can only be obtained via Club Swami. Nikki described:
“People really get to enjoy this super special offering. Every time we do an offering it’s always special. For example, a special pheno of something going to retail – but is only available via Club Swami. They’re all blessed by Swami and treated with love and care. They also get swag items. Last month it was a wooden stash box with the Club Swami logo emblazoned on top of it. Sometimes it’s little notes from us. There’s even a drawing only for members and some club members get to come up to the farm. Members also get 20% off on swag on the website and we’re always here to answer questions. I’m the Concierge for Club Swami. We’re here for them. Members can ask questions directly of Nikki and Swami. Our founding members are really taking advantage of this.”
Nikki loves that Club Swami brings her closer to the people consuming the cannabis at the end – like how it used to be. She reminisced:
“Before weed was legal, we were out there meeting every person we sold an ounce to. I’ve been selling weed since 1969. I wasn’t the middleman selling pounds, I was the person selling ounces to friends or community. I miss that in the new system of going to stores and not really knowing who buys your weed. We’re human and we’re very accessible. When you’re in the club, it’s extra special treatment!”

So how much does Club Swami cost?

$215/year gives you access to all the top cultivars and everything else included in the membership. Nikki told me:
“We do have to charge for the cannabis separately. $40 an eighth which is about the same or a little less than at the store. We do encourage people to get four eighths at a time.”
When the time comes, you’d go online ahead of time to choose how much of the main featured cultivar you want and pay online. Nikki told me that’s not all:
“You can also add in items from the last round. Such as April’s Shanti Lion if people fell in love with that. Or the time before that it was Royal Highness Supreme – which only has smalls left. And they can order what we have in retail like Magic Melon, Sour Afghan, Sphinx OG.”
It’s important to remember that delivery is only available in certain zipcodes and there is a separate charge for delivery.
“Another reason to come to the in-person events.” Nikki says. “When you sign up, we ask for your zipcode and we try to make it work. Trying to be as accommodating and gracious as we can. We believe that pure sungrown with regenerative methods in living soil is the best cannabis in the world. We’ve even got extra love and prayers, as well.”
The in person events will change venues each quarter, allowing Club Swami members to experience different settings. Nikki described:
“The pick up location can change every time. We like to give people variety and turn them onto new venues. That’s my passion. I like bringing people together. To a place with no pressure and good times. The delivery company will be there facilitating everything legally.”
