Cake Mints Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
Cake Mints has irresistible bag appeal. These dense, medium sized nugs are a tangled amalgamation of bud, leafage, and pistil fibers all encrusted in trichomes. The flower is mostly silver and blackish-purple from layers of crystalline trichome structures and pruned darkened leafage. Some emerald green foliage and blood-orange pistil hairs appear infrequently, interrupting the layered trichome webbing and creating a stellar visual 🤩 Cake Mints has an outstanding nose. One side of the profile is creamy and cakey, with sweetened, fragrant notes of vanilla, while the other side is a fresh, piney, and sour kush fragrance with complex notes of sour citrus, wood, earthy musk, and diesel. Breaking the flower open releases stronger tones of sweet vanilla, spiced kush, and burning polyethylene. The ground product has a tangible skunky, sour, and spiced quality to it on top of the creamy kush terpenes 🍦 The taste on the Cake Mints is full-bodied and flavorful. It’s, above all, kush-heavy with a peppered, herbal and savory quality that shows up on the exhale. It also has a dry, airy vanilla cream taste that hovers around, generating an overall robust and piquant flavor. Notes of pine and diesel are amplified the further down the joint burns, combining with the French vanilla flavoring for a mothwatering ambrosial funk ⛽️ The Cake Mints has a potent effect. The high is powerful, creating an aura of pressure and heaviness in the head that slowly trickles through the rest of the body. It has the potential to create significant relaxation and couch-lock the consumer after a couple joints. The flower is soft and creates a moderate to heavy amount of small and large grained kief when ground. The flower burns perfectly and smokes incredibly smoothly all the way down 😶🌫️ All in all, the Cake Mints is an exceptional cultivar. It checks the boxes for visual appearance, nose, flavor, smoke quality, and high. The flower leans heavily kush but with some dulcet creaminess that makes it a remarkably rich and satisfying smoke. This is my first flower from Lowd but I would definitely try more based on the quality here 🔥Check out more reviews by @pnw_chronic on Instagram! (www.instagram.com/pnw_chronic)
