The E85 has delightful bag appeal. It’s a stunning array of silver, mauve, and dark green from the composite of trichomes and leafage present. Vermillion pistils pop up in condescend little patches of hairy fibers. The trichomes, which cover the surface in a veil of sparkling crystals, have shorter legs and ample, partially-cloudy heads 🤩
The nose on the E85 is excellent. The flower radiates a sweet, sugary aroma that’s slightly fruity, but also has a more subtle undercurrent of doughy cake. Notes of spicy, skunky diesel fuel seem to meld into the confectionary side of the profile, providing depth and a mild raunch to the scent. Breaking the flower open releases a candied fragrance that’s reminiscent of fried dough and burnt vanilla 🤤
E85 has an extraordinary flavor on it. Antithetical to the smell, the taste has a heavy diesel forward with rich notes of wood and skunk, all undercut by a decadent creamy vanilla undercurrent. The flower has some light candy flavoring on the periphery, but the gas and pastry profile really dominates the presentation here. As a joint burns down, the flavor increases into a full-on burning gasoline fire mixed with caramelized vanilla and cream ⛽️
The effect on the E85 is remarkable. The first couple hits induce a subtle cognitive fog and feeling of euphoria. It’s a relaxing, easy high that feels moderately heavy in the body and all around satisfying. The flower is not overly sticky but is more so when broken up, and it produces a minor amount of large grained kief when ground. The flower burns perfectly and smoothly to the last hit 😶🌫️
All in all, I really enjoyed smoking through the E85. It checks all the boxes from visual appearance to effect. The presentation entices the senses with sugary sweetness before kicking through the door, showering the palette in gasoline, and setting it on fire. Stellar work from Terpmonger 🔥
