Umami Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

First review of 2023 Queens Get The Money’s own @jackpot_genetix x @jackpot_genetix_timmy are back at it again and this time in collaboration with @maple_made_main with the Ice cream Cake x Kush Mints bred by @seedjunky_jbeezy . @jackpot_genetix came in 3rd place at the @thenewyorkgrowerscup. The flower and smoke experience on their lineup are on that level of potentially getting better with every harvest. The effects are medium level cerebral, heady intense high for about 1hr. Overall total high for about 2hrs. The structure on the nugs and appeal are up to par . Marmalade orange color pistils, romaine color buds and leaves, sugar coated trichomes for decoration. The palate is a sweet, fuel, nutty & spicy minty. The taste is a 50/50 blend of the ice cream cake & Kush mints . The sweet pastry flavors of the ICC & minty earthy of the KM. The scent is musky dank, gelato, cookie dough aroma. The ashes burned 50/50 salt & pepper. The inhale is smooth clean smoke on a dirty ash . Overall this Ice Cream Mints, smells good & effects are 👌🏽, burn and taste can be improved. Umami Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review July 2023

@jackpot_genetix_timmy and @jackpot_genetix have been on the rise for the past few years. Recently, I had the chance to review their Tampico and ICC x Sherb strains. Now, they have introduced another ICC cross, this time with the potent Kush Mints, resulting in the Japanese-inspired Umami. In Japanese, Umami means “essence of deliciousness,” which perfectly describes this cultivar. Umami offers a savory, and deeply flavorful experience, just like its culinary namesake. The visual appeal of Umami showcases traits from both ICC and Kush Mints. It features pistils in a nectarine color, well-trimmed and bulky buds, lime green leaves, and subtle purple cabbage hues. The buds are also adorned with sprinkled trichomes, giving it an extra punch. On the palate, Umami starts with a sweet ICC flavor, followed by a kushy, dank, minty, and spicy floral undertone. The aroma is a delightful mix of ice cream with hints of gassy and sugary myrcene. In terms of effects, Umami offers a medium-level cerebral high and a mild body high. The high typically lasts for about three hours and can leave you feeling a bit foggy, making it easy to forget things, especially in the hot weather. When it comes to ash report, Umami produced a 70/30 with more salt than pepper, resulting in a relatively clean burn. The intake is smooth, offering a creamy and minty flavor on the inhale, followed by a fuel-like taste from the Kush Mints on the exhale. The buzz usually kicks in after around 7/8 pulls, resulting in an average onset time. Overall, Umami offers a unique flavor profile that sets it apart from the usual strains. It delivers a euphoric experience that matches the expectations set by its aroma and taste. The palate and aroma are consistent, and the burn is clean. @jackpot_genetix proves that they are strong contenders in the New York league of cultivators.
