Strain Review: Avon Barksdale by The Baydestrians x World Is Yours Exotics

Having enjoyed The Wire’s Stringer Bell from WIYE and Baydestrians, I was excited to try the next flower in the series, named after the early season’s leading protagonist; Avon Barksdale, being a cross of two classic strains; Sunset Sherbet and Runtz.
Upon opening I was instantly greeted by sugary sweet notes of bubblegum, cherries, strawberries and cream, infused with strong notes of floral sherbet alongside a very faint earthy gas with traits of pine. The buds were of a hard density, having a hybrid structure. They were a shade of light green with sporadic hues of purple and attractive matching guts, alongside short rustic pistils and absolutely coated in trichomes.
Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by an earthy and floral sherbet influenced gas, infused with Gelato traits of hazelnut and chemicals, alongside a subdued candy essence, primarily exhibiting light notes of cherries. This mild array of flavours were retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring.
It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, although Avon Barksdale’s lineage is not anything too exciting, it was displayed effectively, delivering a pleasant Sunset Sherbet and Gelato infusion of minty, gassy, creamy and floral traits, alongside a mild sweet cherry influence.
It smoked well, was very potent and ticked a fair amount of boxes and with some further dialling in will make a great choice for enthusiasts of Sunset Sherbet dominant profiles with sedating effects.
