Traditional Gelato Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
COMPANY INFO: Coming in hot out of LA, Traditional is the house brand of vertically integrated Los Angeles Traditional which as I mentioned previously took over the High Season DTLA location and also has a Location on Pico. There’s something different about being a single source facility able to grow and sell on the same premises. Traditional is always a fun experience complete with some of the most reasonably priced flower Ive seen in a very long time. And they always have some sort of of discounts promotion going on resulting in 30% discount on my most recent visits. Shoutout to @canna__melly for the help and recommendations! This fiver G bag of smalls came for a better/ similar ticket than the black market for the quality of material.
VISUALS: 9/10
Upon cracking open the Mylar I was greeted with mid sized primarily purple and green streaked squatty nugs with standout trich coverage and many orange pistils that extended noticeably off of the colas. The nug structure was really unique in the fact that it gave me pull apart vibes with how the colas almost seemed pull apart just like the outer petals of an artichoke.
SMELL: 9/10
Traditional doesn’t release genetics but to me this smelled like a 33 cut with the way it came in with a heavy sweet Cakey nose with a touch of nuttiness, spice and fuel. It really took me back to my first experience with gelato 33 back in the day smoking out of a sandwich bag in the homies garage lol.
TASTE & EFFECTS: 8/10
Oh man, in a market where gelato is available at every price tier and in almost every cross you can think off, this is a perfect representation of what it should be. Sticky and moist on the breakdown and smooth as hell on the exhale, the smoke hits with a creamy sweet taste that carries over to that heavy body high where your whole body and body feel relaxed but your eyes feels like they can shoot lasers with the slight pressure behind them and immediate brightness change in my surroundings. For a few hours I felt able to forget everything else I had going on and enjoy the simplicities of life: weed, food, and laughter.
