Review # 14: Ménage by Flora Flame

PREFACE: As potheads reading this can prolly relate to finding desirable material on IG, flora flame was a brand and company who caught my eye on IG with their vertically integrated living soil no till farm and had me immediately wondering how I could get my hands on some. It took me about 2 years and a move to nor cal to actually find some, but when I saw it I grabbed it immediately. This oz of Menage (zkittlez x tk bx3) x (gelato 41 x kush mints 11) was smalls and about 2-3 months old but not too noticeable.
VISUALS: 7.5/10
Standard light green hues mixed with long knotted orange pistils and a yellow dusting of trichomes permeate the outside of the nugs. The structure comes through fluffy while the calyxes and sugar leaves of the nugs curl out and up. Also the trim job left the buds with a little more sugar leaves left than I normally see but no complaints on my end other than the slight leafy visual appearance.
SMELL: 9/10
Wow. Upon first whiff this shit literally smells like a honeysuckle with a cleaning disinfectant edge. When I broke it down down the nose switches up to a pure sweet smell that reminded of a fruit custard or that sweet dried fruit they put in fruitcake. This strain had a great nose to it. The z skittlez really came through on the nose and I didn’t pick up that earthiness that I expected from the gelato/kushmints until the smoke.
TASTE & EFFECTS: 9/10
Burning slow but with some peppered ash leaning dark, the joint was a smooth smoke with no coughs the whole doink and the high started kicking in right after a few puffs. The taste transitioned from that sweetness to a more earthy pungent mouthfeel as the smoke traveled into my lungs. Effects wise this was a unique one. The high was clean and powerful with fully body sensations and a brightening of my environment, but what I really didn’t expect was that there wasn’t really a comedown. It was more of a trance like state in which I still felt intoxicated with that pressure to the back of my head for a couple hours after smoking. Really unique stuff, can’t wait to try and get my hands on some flora flame! Appreciate it @terpeneretention
