Strain Review: Perfect OG by Jungle Boys

Not having had Perfect OG for many years, and with it being from Jungleboys, I was looking forward to trying out this exciting strain, boasting a total sum of cannabinoids 44.36%. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by an unexpected unique aroma. Displaying surprisingly faintly sweet notes of marzipan and subdued purple grapes, alongside light menthol alongside the anticipated notes of chemical, fuel and pine, exhibiting its OG lineage. The buds were of a medium density, having a typical Jungleboys structure. They were a shade of light green, with messy rustic pistils, and absolutely showered in trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by a uniquely sweet floral earthy gassiness. Displaying familiar earthy, pine and chemical notes complemented by a surprisingly sweet floral infusion, with traits consisting of cake with subdued creamy grapes and papaya. The taste of this sweet gas was partially dominated by a sour resinous gas upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of dark to medium grey, alongside a partially forming resinous oil ring. It was smoking partially smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, I unfortunately found Perfect OG to not be so perfect. Aside from it having an unexpected but enjoyable sweetness produced alongside its Kush and Chem91 lineage, it unfortunately did not manage to flourish and smoke enjoyably well, producing dark ash with a slightly resinous and coarse finish. With further dialling in required, hopefully Perfect OG can be improved.
