This batch of Sour D is one that I still think about daily. I obviously live under a fuckin’ rock because I call myself Mr.HazeAndSour but I had no idea that a reputable NY brand who had just recently won 1st place for their rosin was growing some fire ass Sour, what a rookie move! To make things worse, there was so much bud in the building & smoke in the air that I didn’t get any special smell when I first saw the jar on their table, but it looked fire & I usually like to try everything labeled Sour D at least once so I purchased an 8th, ANOTHER ROOKIE MOVE! because when I got home & opened the jar, the whole room started to get engulfed in diesel fuel, It slowly set in that I just made the biggest rookie mistake ever by only getting an 8th so I immediately hit them up to try to get more but of course they were all sold out! 🤦🏻♂️
Another case of the “finally found the Sour that’s close to the 1 I’m lookin for but there is only a dub, or an 8th of it “😤. What a masterpiece this was! Delicious taste translating from the very strong skunky sour diesel smell that we all love & are forever longing for. This one hits the spot & satisfies that true 2005 sour fix even though it still not the 05 sour. Perfectly cured sticky very fluffy & airy buds, not much density or tightness, but it still looks so sexy with the traditional Dour look, neon green colors with the dark green diesel tongue leaves. This has it all, the look & most importantly the high & the terps.
The smell is actually there & it actually translates to mouthcoating taste. Its still only at about 50% of how bad it used to reek back in the day but that’s still great for these days where you will be lucky to get ANY skunky smell on the sour at all. This is that straight sativa Sour where you can smoke it & go do all your errands in a great mood & a productive attitude. Perfect daytime smoke. I been on the lookout to make sure I dont miss their new batch if they ever decide to run it again & I pray to the Sour Gods it comes out just as good if they do bless us again. What a privilege to catch this batch! Sometimes the hunt pays off, even if its just an 8th!
