With the large Tenco care package recently landing, it was only right that I purchased one of their newest additions. That being Tenpura, carrying on the food theme, alongside Wagyu, Lobster Tail and Zushi. Upon opening, I received an instant rush of piney citrus, almost smelling like a household cleaner. Amongst the citrus aroma there were subtle cherry and grape notes masked by a heavy Gelato and Runtz influenced gas. The buds looked like a typical Runtz, being a darker shade of green and purple, showered in trichomes. The buds came dense and had a good structure. Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by balanced notes of black cherries, and faint citrus, resembling a dark candy, accompanied by a gassy backend. On exhaling, the sweetness dissipates quite quickly, leaving the leftover taste of sour gas with faint candy, tasting slightly bitter and even partially meaty afterwards. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, accompanied by an oozing and gushing oil ring. It smoked relatively smooth and the taste was passable. I’m not sure if this is their Skilatti rebranded, or has genetically been changed ever so slightly, however in my opinion, although it wasn’t a bad smoke, it is just another Runtz pheno LCG (which also needs the flavour dialled in slightly more), I would probably not repurchase until I know it has improved.
