Third Eye Organics Purple Urkle Cannabis Cultivar (strain) Review

purple urkle by third eye organics strain review by chauncey_thecannaseur By now @third_eye_organics_ has become a well know name among most small batch flower enthusiasts. Their work is both highly sought after and in short supply, a pairing that is surely reflected in the price tag. So is it worth the sticker price? is it truly a different experience? Let’s explore… I had been following third eye for quite a bit when i got the opportunity to try their flower. So while I was familiar with their organic grow practices, attention to detail and love for the plant, I was also curious to see if that love shown through in the final product. When I opened the jar I was immediately hit with nostalgia. Forest green buds costed in well developed trichomes, deep natural purples throughout the flower, and burnt orange pistils coating the surface are a welcome sight. Now I haven’t had Purple Urkle in who knows how long but that terp profile is pretty recognizable and brought me back in time immediately. Heavily fermented grapes with a deep rich sandlewood quality similar to a high-end Nag Champa incense. More subtle floral notes similar to gardenias emerges after the grind as the loud nose permeates the room. The cure on this batch was absolutely perfect, sticky greasy trichs, amd the consistency when ground is exactly what I look for, movement and stick like kinetic sand. I find this is perfect consistency for rolling up, and this twisted up with ease. The fermented grapes in the aroma transferred nicely to the taste, almost like a grape forward wine with notes of that floral incense on exhale. It wasn’t necessarily a mouth coating or lingering flavor but it was very pleasant. The effects settled in almost immediately behind the eyes, and intensified as I finished the J. By the time I put the Joint out I had a physical ‘buzzing’ running through my body, that telltale heaviness in your chest, my muscles were nice and relaxed and I was pretty stuck in my couch groove not wanting to go anywhere, and I assure you the stick was not short lived, this kept me well medicated for several hours. This is what I missed most about this cultivar, and let’s be real alot of new “hype strains” just don’t deliver effects like this. Overall I enjoyed the hell out of this Purple Urkle. @third_eye_organics_ did a great job with this batch. The price point is definitely a sticking point for alot of people and I absolutely understand that. However there are levels to everything and cannabis is no exception. Sometimes its nice to keep something you wouldnt normally buy or have for just the right occasion, price be damned. For perspective, some people enjoy Jack Daniel’s for a daily drink but want to keep a bottle of Pappy van Winkle for special occasions. This would fall into that category for me, too pricey for daily smoke but I personally feel that it’s worth keeping in the stash for special occasions. Overall I was impressed with the quality of the flower, I’ll admit, I expected overpriced hype but instead what I got was craft flower, grown to its full potential by someone who clearly cares about their end product. Sadly I don’t believe they are running the urkle again, at least not for right now. I am however looking forward to reviewing some other drops from this grow as soon as I’m able to do so. Thanks for reading this far I know this one’s a bit long. If you come across @third_eye_organics_ flower anywhere and are comfortable with the number I’d highly recommend picking some up to experience yourself. It’s a welcome treat and certainly stands apart from the sea of LCG dominating the market. Apologies for taking so long to get this one posted but I hope you enjoy.
