Aroma: The nose in this one is pretty Z forward but right after you smell the pungent fruitiness It Segways pretty much right away into a very vanilla cakey almost pudding like essence. Let me put it this way; it’s as if you got some vanilla sheet cake from Safeway then proceeded to bedazzle that hoe in a thick layer of zkittles. At the end of all that saccharine subterfuge there’s sharp woodsyness that tapers off into almost a mentholated dryer sheet smell. I’m not just pulling this out of my ass it’s a pretty complex question profile that I enjoy pulling apart.
Appearance/consistency: So the packaging I must say is super dope. Red and black graphics with a neat holographic sheen to it. It’s definitely fun to twirl the jar around in the light. This cured rosin doesn’t have the blanched white coloration that I usually pick up but it is still very beautiful. The Cold cure has golden amberish hues with a putty like consistency that I would classify as pretty baddery. One of the things I love the most about this rosin is how easy it is to work with. Super stable even after warming up to room temp. This would definitely be a good candidate to make snakes from. I didn’t roll any hash-holes with this while I still had a lot but I should have.
Taste/Smokeability: I don’t know what it is about Z and her progeny but the flavor is so intense I can feel it cost the back of my tongue and throat immediately. It comes on sweet with some vanilla frosting. I’m getting some candied guava and some other subtle tropic fruits. At the end though I’m getting some good strong fuel notes like some AMPM 87 octane gasoline. The vapor is thick but smoother than Barry White in a satin factory. I tried to make myself cough with this one and it just never happened. The most I got was a sneeze from it being so terpy. 🤧
Effect: This Gal just puts you down. This isn’t one that I would call creatively inspiring. 😂 Not necessarily a bad thing but it’s hard for me to have like literally more than one thought process at a time right now. I did rip this like 7-8 times for the review so maybe I’m just inordinately high but it definitely feels on the heavy side for me. The physical effects are pretty noticeable. Muscle relaxation being one of them. It’s been a long day but after using this I feel like I’m about to sleep pretty well. In fact I know I am because I can hardly keep my eyes open. I have a pretty high tolerance these days so one of my metrics for quality is something that can cut through my insomnia and help me sleep well. This is definitely one of those kind of cultivars.
Overall: I’ve been super stoked on Diamondfire gear since I tried their carbon a few months ago. I’ve been wanting to try the triple Z in rosin or flower form for a while. I was so very fortunate to find some of the cured rosin locally in Sacramento from Calijuana.916. Props to the extractor Kronic Xtracts for creating some amazing and affordable Rosin And for Diamondfire for growing the beautiful flower it was extracted from. 🤙
