Strain Review: Fruit Stripez by Cannatique

Although I am not personally a huge fan of LPC crosses, with Fruit Stripez being a new drop from Cannatique, I thought I’d give it a go. Upon opening I instantly received a complex rush of notes producing a sweet, but zesty and fruity gas, with a faint floral essence, displaying the distinctive London Pound Cake and Limonchello lineage. There were faint spicy and candy undertones, leaving a combination of different aromas combined, ultimately smelling unique to other candy crosses. The buds were primarily of a medium density, having both a boulder and foxtail structure, being a shade of almost white to light green with purple hues, alongside minimal rustic hydroponic hairs, and covered in trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by a dominating gas, with faint candy undertones, consisting of anticipated lemons and cherries. Spicy and tart notes quickly started to develop alongside the familiar candy profile, overall creating a unique taste. Through combustion, a slightly resinous essence transcended, hindering the initial sweetness leaving it slightly subdued, but not too much, still leaving a sweet gas on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to dark grey, alongside an oozing resinous oil ring, smoking both surprisingly passably smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, although not to my personal preference, enthusiasts of Yellow Fruit Stripes and the crosses concerned will definitely appreciate this strain, especially with it being further sweetened with LCG. This has got great potential, and with further dialling in required, it will be interesting to see how the next run turns out.
