Mentation GMO Strain Review
If you’re a fan of garlic or a extremely pungent smell that puts your nose in a twist or your stank face on; well, this is a perfect strain for you. The punch Mentation put on the overall quality for this one is real treat. Personally, I have tried a plethora of GMO over the past handful of years and, although not my favorite strain in the world, this cut was top notch. When I first looked at the sleek, professional and indestructible jar this GMO came in I thought to myself wow these guys must have kids. The cap on the jar is one of the most childproof I have ever seen. I’m not sure what type of material they used for the jar but when you tap on it it’s hard as a rock. I definitely don’t mind the creative package trend going around but this was straight to the point. The labeling was holographic which, in my opinion, added a little pizazz to the overall appeal. When I first opened the jar, I felt like I had stepped into a kitchen in Southern Italy. Garlic, garlic, garlic 🧄 with a powerful earthy mix. There was a mix of flaky, rough and hallow buds with a pretty decent trim job to go along. The one nug in the jar looked like a Christmas tree with its pointy calyxs and pistils aimed at every which way. Overall, the the break up of the buds was easy and yielded a good amount of kief particles upon break up. The buds were nice and soft while that garlic odor lingered. When I lit up the GMO in an organic RAW, the overwhelming amount of garlic terps caught my attention. They were so strong I couldn’t hold back and started to cough. The smoke produced a thick cherry and white ash that produced an enhanced burn. I did not have to worry about this one turning off either because of that thick cherry. My ultimate goal of the sesh was to find the tennis ball terps. I believe this laid within the rubbery and gassy finish. I feel as if this taste would not be easily found by a beginner level smoker. The coughing caused for an instant head rush parallel to the high the GMO fed off. The standout quality within this strain was its creeping effect. Around a half hour or so into the high I felt a complete euphoria take over my body from the neck down to my feet. It left a relaxing feel throughout my body for about an hour. I was surprised, however, how quick my high came down considering the potency in taste, smell, and smokeability. Nonetheless, a strong and crippling high. Although I didn’t really get an appetite for anything I sat for a solid 10 minutes with a drool face which was the pinnacle of the high. Overall high quality stuff from Mentation and a first grab for me from them. I’ve never heard of them before this and, after some research they recently collabed with @bissellbrothers (one of my favorite breweries) to create their own IPA. Doesn’t surprise me to see quality meet quality there. It’s safe to say this won’t be the last review for Mentation because they 100% owned it with this drop!
