The Lemon Royale has extraordinary visual appeal. It’s characterized by big, chunky, spear shaped nugs that are covered in rust orange pistils and trichome crystals. The coloration of the leafage is dark green on the bottom, fading into a saturated darker purple at the tips. The trichome coverage is in full formation, enveloping almost every surface of the nug 🤩
The scent on Lemon Royale is stunning. I would describe the aroma as a citrusy, lemon fruit explosion with layers of effervescent seasoned spice and gassy funk under it all. Breaking open a nug releases a citrus, herbal, and slightly musty funk along with notes of polyethylene and kerosene. The flower leaves a spicy citrus funk with notes of gas on the fingers. It is an extremely complex, layered, and alluring profile 🍋
The taste translates well from the scent. It has a sweet and sour citrus lemon taste that is more prominent on the inhale with a slightly gassier exhale. There is a mouthwateringly savory edge to the exhale with nuanced notes of herbs, sweet wood, and light must. I found the flavor to be fruity, funky, and satisfying on the whole. The cultivar leaves a light lemon candy taste on the tongue that fades to a more herbal lemon grass aftertaste🤤
The high on Lemon Royale is noteworthy and satisfying. I felt a significant head buzz immediately after finishing the first cone, with a pleasant easing of tension in my back. I found the high to be quite strong cerebrally, but still mostly functional in terms of physical effects. The nugs are soft and dry to the touch, but stickier when breaking down. It produces a moderate amount of kief when ground 😶🌫️
All in all, Lemon Royale is an astonishing strain. It checks all the boxes in terms of criteria, but where it really shines is the distinct profile. Lemon, GMO, and Kush are well known, but this strain is a killer mix of all of its lineage. It presents a progeny that is both diverse and highly appealing. I’d recommend this and literally anything else from Eastwood at this point, their consistency and quality is staggering 🔥
